Things started turning around for spears when her parents flew in to look after her and along with her ex-manager Larry Rudolph took out a restraining order on her current manager Sam Lutfi - who's accused of manipulating the singer.
Britney Spears Disappoints Media with Possibly Bright Future
Britney Spears is returning to the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" tonight to reprise her role as Abby, a flaky office assistant.
In her first cameo, Britney’s character developed a crush on Ted (Josh Radnor, above), who then began dating her boss. In this episode, Abby tries to get back at Ted by hooking up with his friend Barney (the inimitable Neil Patrick Harris).
In spite of reportedly mixed reactions from some of her castmates, Britney’s first appearance was met with great reviews and 10.6 million viewers — a big jump from the show’s usual 8.1 million. Let’s see if people tune in again for her follow-up. The show’s producers seem confident that they will: they’ve apparently signed up the (cough) “embattled” pop star for a third appearance, next season.

Britney Spears needed father’s permission to return to her hometown.
It has been reported that Britney Spears needed to have her father’s permission to be able to return to her hometown. Britney went to Kentwood, Louisiana for Jamie Lynn’s baby shower and has had to ask her dad Jamie if she was allowed to make the trip. As we know at the moment Britney’s father Jamie is currently co-conservator of her estate which means that he has control of her business and personal affairs.
A friend of Britney said that "He has to give her permission to travel, and the money to do it. It’s not that he doesn’t want her there for her little sister. It’s just that he thinks it’s best to keep Britney close to home right now. "
Its said that Britney has not visited Kentwood for around 16 months and is said to be planning a second trip after she promised Jamie Lynn that she would be there for the birth of her baby which is due around the 29th June. According a source "At the baby shower, she told her little sister she wanted to be there for her the entire time. I’m not sure how Casey is going to feel about that. But Jamie Lynn seems pretty excited."
Let’s hope that Britney is heading on the right track now
Britney Spears Personal Marriage Life
Spears posed for her first major magazine publication, Rolling Stone in April 1999. Shot by photographer David LaChapelle, the photo shoot garnered much criticism for the controversial mixing of child-like innocence and adolescent sexuality. The cover featured her in a skimpy outfit lying on a bed. More controversy arose when Spears declared that " she would remain a virgin until marriage". This pledge has been questioned due to her apparently sexual relationship with fellow pop singer Justin Timberlake. In early 2002, Spears's four-year relationship with Timberlake ended. His 2002 song "Cry Me a River" and its music video, which featured an actress resembling Spears, caused speculation that Spears had been unfaithful; Timberlake, however, denied that his song was meant to portray her.
June 2002 saw the opening of Spears's restaurant, Nyla, in New York City, which served Louisianan and Italian cuisine.
However, she was pulled out of the business venture in November as a result of debts and management issues. Nyla officially closed in 2003. In the same year, Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst confirmed that he was in a relationship with Spears. Durst was also hired to help write and produce tracks for her album In the Zone, which were eventually scrapped.

Spears married childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander on January 3, 2004, at The Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.
The marriage lasted 55 hours, ending with an annulment stating that Spears "lacked understanding of her actions to the extent that she was incapable of agreeing to marriage because before entering into the marriage the Plaintiff and Defendant did not know each others' likes and dislikes, each others' desires to have or not have children, and each other's desires as to State of residency."

Months after her Las Vegas marriage, Spears embarked on "The Onyx Hotel Tour", which was canceled in June, after Spears injured her knee during the filming of the video for the single "Outrageous". She then became involved in the Kabbalah Centre in September 2004 through her friendship with Madonna. However, she publicly left the religion in 2006, stating on her website, "I no longer study Kaballah, my baby is my religion."
As a result of her fame, Spears's personal life has received much media attention. This only escalated after her marriage to Kevin Federline in 2004. She gave birth to her first child, Sean Preston, in 2005 and to her second child, Jayden James, in 2006. The couple's divorce in November of the same year was highly publicized, followed by an ongoing custody battle over their sons.
